| The article presents an overview of power engineering cooperation between Russia and India. Cooperation with regard to gas delivery will allow Russia to review the structure of export of its energy resources, which is particularly expedient nowadays. To satisfy the ever-growing demand for electric energy, and in connection with India’s desire to reach carbon neutrality by 2070, it is necessary to create a reliable system of energy supply. Increase of the role of nuclear energy may facilitate this process. The speed of Russian-Indian cooperation in the sphere of nuclear energy production grows: the startup of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, contracted construction of three more energy blocks. India, in its own turn, possesses a large experience and technologies in the area of wind generator and solar energy production, which may become very useful for Russian producers working in the sphere of renewable energy. | Key words: Russia-India cooperation, energy, investments into oil and gas industry, nuclear energy production | Pages: 18 - 20 |
