| The article stresses the importance of rejecting the traditionalist administrative vertical management of transborder cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan and offers a flexible problem-oriented approach in this sphere, involving three major aspects: the political, the economic and the sociocultural ones. High flexibility and the problem-oriented approach are made possible through offering project financing to a broad range of participants, whereby business, higher educational institutions and local communities have a possibility to develop and implement mutual projects relevant for the solution of important borderland problems. | Key words: flexible management, borderland regions, transborder cooperation, Russia, Kazakhstan, Eurasian cooperation, borderland cooperation | Pages: 29 - 31 |
