| The article focuses on cooperation in the sphere of education and the role of the integration process between Russia and Central Asia countries. The authors analyze the current state and perspectives in this sphere, discuss existing contradictions and ways of their overcoming. The strategy of international academic and educational cooperation in EEU, CIS and SCO, inaugurated by Russian government, as well as a number of political measures will play an important role in the future economy of the Central Asian region.
