| | | The article presents the dynamics of the nominal and the real GNP in the Russian Federation, analyzes the index of the physical volume of GNP and GNP per capita based on the purchasing power parity. The author shows periods of growth and decline in the volumes of production, defines reasons for the decrease of the economic growth, and analyzes the dynamics of energy intensity with regard to Russia’s GNP. The share of Russian GNP in the global gross product is extremely low.
