| The article focuses on the significance of the machine tool industry for Russia’s technological sovereignty. Bases on the analysis of strategic planning documents over the period between 2011 and 2021, the author argues that the monetary credit policy, conducted over many years in the country, did not pay sufficient attention to the branch specificity of economy, precluded sustainable development of the machine tool industry. The article suggests distinguishing two major directions, one of which being crediting of enterprises on the market basis, and the other – preferential crediting of high-tech and strategically significant industries with the financial participation of the state. | Key words: Russia’s technological sovereignty, strategies of Russia’s national and economic security, machine tool industry, branch strategies, monetary credit politics, state support | Pages: 28 - 31 |
