| The article focuses on the perspectives of influence produced by technological innovations and digital technologies upon the transformation of the banking activity, changes in banks’ business models and modifications of the functions exercised by financial organizations in the context of the digital economy. The authors evaluate the impact of innovations upon the traditional banks’ business model and distinguish the most promising business models in the era of digitalization.
