| The article focuses on the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States in various spheres of life, primarily in education. The authors stress the need to overcome contradictions that prohibit the implementation of the Minsk agreement of December 8, 1991 on the creation of the unified economic space in the CIS countries. Transition of the Russian Federation to the new educational system and leaving the Bologna Process will allow to speed up the process in internationalization of the Russian education. Flexible approach to the terms of education of the future specialists in Russian higher educational institutions, demand for quality professional programs, increasing of quotas for state-financed places for young specialists from the CIS countries – all this creates conditions for the formation of the unified educational space, and therefore, for the closer consolidation of the CIS countries in the sphere of education. | Key words: CIS, integration processes, internationalization of education, unified educational space, multicultural society, consolidation of CIS countries, new system of education | Pages: 213 - 217 |
