| Contemporary global economy is in a state of extreme instability. The protracted crisis, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the aggravation of competitive contradictions between the leading participants in the system of international economic relations create misunderstanding and tension in relations between countries. In order to maintain and strengthen their positions in the global system of world economic relations, each of the states uses the tools of economic and military diplomacy. The Eurasian space, due to its important transportation, logistics and strategic position, is in the center of close attention of the leading world countries, including Russia, for which it acquires exceptional importance in the light of recent events. The empirical basis of this study is the data produced by the statistical service of the Eurasian Economic Union.
