To the issue of using the USSR experience for industrialization of Russia under sanctions (Russia, Moscow)

The article focuses on the need to ensure food and technological independence, dictated by the inevitability of reducing participation in global value chains and the creation of full-cycle industries within the country. The analysis of the experience of USSR industrialization showed that in order to achieve the required goals, namely, economic independence and the well-being of citizens, high-tech heavy industry based on domestic demand should become the engine of growth. The author distinguishes the following sources of investments into industrialization on the basis of strategic planning: trade surplus; targeted use of depreciation charges; cessation of capital flight abroad.
