| | | The purpose of this study is to analyze the international experience and modern approaches to identify a set of factors for effective decommissioning and reuse of marine infrastructure, including its repurposing. The number of decommissioned marine infrastructure is growing year by year and is associated with high financial costs. This problem is relevant for a number of states and oil and gas companies operating on offshore facilities. The reuse and repurposing of infrastructure as an element of a closed-loop economy is used in practice, but there are no uniform indicators and methods for their measuring and evaluating for the purposes of developing an optimal approach to transforming the functions of objects. The article examines environmental, social, technical, logistical, legal and economic factors that are directly related to sustainable economic development and global climate change. The results of the article can be useful at the state and corporate levels in the development of an appropriate concept and in developing and construction of marine platforms. | | Key words: closed-loop economics, sustainable development, international oil and gas companies, marine infrastructure, recycling, decommissioning, marine platforms | | Pages: 131 - 136 |
