| | | The article focuses upon the role of public catering and retail trade as structural elements of the consumer services sector that are most important for the population living within the boundaries of a single agglomeration. The logic of the article is based on the hypothesis that catering and retail services are in active, steady demand among the population, since they are aimed at meeting individual needs and ensuring human life. The authors show that presently these services represent a unique synthesis, harmoniously complementing each other without prejudice to the consumer, who decides to purchase these services under the influence of a number of internal and external factors, with regard to the volume of their production and supply on the market, consumer culture, income level, quality and accessibility. | | Key words: services, retail trade, catering, household expenses | | Pages: 164 - 168 |
