| The article examines the changing structure of supply chains under the influence of digital technologies and the Internet, as well as the formation of cross-border supply chains in retail trade, with the particular emphasis on the role of the reseller as a focal firm in the supply chain. The scale of the network form of trade organization is growing in the context of the development of electronic commerce. The author discusses features of the formation of a trading network in electronic commerce and observes that it is the logistics network rather than a trading network is formed in the electronic commerce, designed to perform logistical functions and operations.
