| The article focuses on the institutions of supplementary education, which become centers of attraction for residents of the territory and perform a number of social tasks. The study shows that one of the problems of institutions of supplementary education is their promotion. Competent application of the breakthrough positioning model by J. Cagan and C. Vogel. This model is capable of identifying effective promotion strategies, significantly increase the effect of state support for such programs and avoid high risks of their implementation.
