| | | The article presents the results of a study of the characteristics of the use of the concept of open innovation in stimulating the innovative development of higher educational institutions in Russia. The relevance of the study stems from the transformation of the transition of Russian universities from the concept of closed innovations to the concept of open innovations during the COVID-19 pandemic, which opened up an understanding of the prospects for such a strategic decision. The author discusses features of the influence of innovative processes in an educational organization upon solving the problem of digitalization of the vocational training system in modern Russia and analyzes the problems of higher education institutions, which may be solved through the use of open innovations and improving the quality of educational services.
