| Both in Russian and abroad, the convention-and-exhibition industry is reasonably considered as a considerable input into the country’s economy, both direct and indirect. The article highlights the role of this industry as a virtual environment of iterative innovation hubs, which can help organize targeted diffusion and enrichment of useful knowledge in line with national innovation policy. Agreements on joint activities between independent actors of the convention-and-exhibition industry are interpreted in the light of the concept of meta-organization.
