Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation: New Approaches (Russia, Moscow)
The article examines how the Russian Federation is developing a new Spatial Development Strategy. This document is intended to solve the country’s long-standing problems in its spatial context, such as weak territorial connectivity, underdeveloped infrastructure, strong differentiation of regions and municipalities, lack of comfortable living conditions for citizens throughout the country, unstable settlement system, emphasis on the development of large urban agglomerations, etc. But to what extent are the measures being developed capable of solving the problems facing the country? The author discusses this and offers his own vision of their solution.
