| | | The article analyzes key strategic legislative documents regulating aspects of economic security at the state level in the Russian Federation and China. The authors discuss the significance and functions of economic security in the general system of national security priorities in the context of growing external threats and challenges. Based on the analysis of national and international statistical indicators, key indicators of economic security of the Russian Federation and China are identified. The article establishes that despite the highest priority of economic security as the basis for ensuring national security in both countries, the Chinese economy is significantly ahead of the Russian one. At the same time, the idea of China’s economic security, formed back in 2014, currently allows China to replace the role of the European Union as the leading importer for the Russian Federation. | | Key words: China, national security, economic security, national priorities, strategic priorities, Russian-Chinese relations | | Pages: 70 - 75 |
