Expansion of BRICS as a driver of economic development of Russia (Russia, Moscow)

The article discusses the economic relations between Russia and the BRICS countries, which compose a significant part of the country’s foreign economic activity. Cooperation within the framework of BRICS is aimed at deepening economic cooperation and expanding trade relations, including the formation of technological sovereignty in Russia’s priority areas. The author emphasizes that the status of Russia as an energy superpower gives the country significant opportunities for development within BRICS and discusses the prospects for the implementation of joint projects of Russia with the BRICS countries; the latter consist in the introduction of advanced technologies in trade and economic processes and the creation of new supply chains. In general, the study of the partner economic relations of Russia and the BRICS countries allows identifying a complex network of common interests and complementary advantages in various sectors of the economy.
