Efficacy of functioning of transnational companies (TNC) in the Russian economy as a factor of competitive growth (Russia, St. Petersburg)

The article discusses the essence of the TNC concept and provides a general review of strategies for the entry of modern transnational companies into international markets. The authors describe Russia’s role in the process of trans-nationalization and the current state of Russian TNCs in the world market, including the efficacy of their functioning and the impact they produce upon the growth of the competitiveness of the national economy.
