| | | The authors identify present-day problems and features in the spatial organization of the Russia’s regions with regard to their foreign economic infrastructure based on the analysis and systematization of trends and factors in its development. The article distinguishes the reasons for the lag of the economic potential of the infrastructure from the needs for its development, and proposes directions for modernizing the foreign economic infrastructure of the region in the new socio-economic conditions of the Russian Federation. The study demonstrates that against the background of tightening sanctions policies of Western countries, the most important direction of economic activity of Russian regions is the development of foreign economic infrastructure, trade and economic relations with friendly countries on the principles of mutually beneficial partnership and increasing their efficiency. The analysis is based on the constituent entities of the Federation and municipalities, and may be of practical interest for regional and municipal authorities. | | Key words: region, foreign economic infrastructure, foreign economic relations, cross-border payments, economic sanctions, Eastern regions of Russia | | Pages: 103 - 107 |
