| | | The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the state and prospects of tourism cooperation between Russia and China in the period 2014–2024, with an emphasis on post-pandemic recovery and the impact of geopolitical changes. Based on statistical data, three phases of development have been identified: sustainable growth (until 2019), a sharp decline (2020–2022) and intensive recovery (2023–2024). The authors highlight the key barriers hindering the development of bilateral tourism: language, infrastructure and finances, and also explore three promising areas: “red tourism,” Arctic tourism and digitalization of services. Using SWOT analysis, the article systematizes strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Russia-China cooperation. Particular attention is given to the role of new institutional solutions, including the introduction of electronic visas and a trial visa-free regime. The study concludes with recommendations for overcoming barriers and harnessing growth potential, including expanding the China Friendly program, training interpreter guides, and diversifying tourism connections. | | Key words: Russian-Chinese cooperation, international tourism, tourist flows, “red tourism”, digitalization, visa-free regime | | Pages: 164 - 167 |
